Most Creative Furniture Makers in the Netherlands

When it comes to furniture, some people are a lot more imaginative than others. Artists Remy&Veenhuizen (http://www.remyveenhuizen.nl) make furniture and design indoor and outdoor spaces using anything they find as their material. Every project is different and the attitude and design theme for each one appears randomly according to whatever inspiration the artists get from their surroundings. There is never a plan or a system, but there is always ΓÇ£space for twisted thoughts and poetry.ΓÇ¥ Remy&Veenhuizen like to explore and discover. They say, ΓÇ£Capricious logic leads to materialized poetry.ΓÇ¥

With each project, Remy&Veenhuizen aim to find a form that has utility or meaning for the user. The designs they come up with often perform more than one function. In trying to find simple solutions to structural problems they often stumble upon new and unexpected ways to use materials and new contexts in which to use everyday things. This combination of capricious, imaginative methods often leads to results that are unique in function and construction.

Based in the Netherlands, Remy&Veenhuizen work with a range of clients, including schools and public institutions, and their work is exhibited worldwide. Tejo Remy and René Veenhuizen have been working together since 2000. They both studied 3D design at the Utrecht School of the Arts. Below are a few of their projects.
